 1. These are the topics for the written mid-term exam (theory):

• The linguistic sciences Phonetics and Phonology
• Homophones/homographs
• Minimal pairs. Counterparts
• Speech mechanism/Organs of speech
• Pronunciation of inflections
• Vowels (general characteristics)
• Formal description of vowels ash, long a and inverted  v. Furthermore,short and long i and e.
• Weak and strong forms (gradation) 

2.  You´ll also have a transcription (about 130 words/Topmark: 20 mistakes).

Thursday and Friday classes- Prof. Cosentino

I´m on medical leave. So there are no classses with me on Thursday or Friday. Please hand in the 1st non-compulsory transcription to Prof. Romanelli on Friday al 10 al the Lab. You are invited to join the group on MOnday from 8 to 10.
