Mid-term No. 1

Dear sts Your mid-term written exam will be on May 15th as scheduled.It will consist of two parts: a) Transcription of a passage (between 80 and 90 words) with a topmark of 20 mistakes. b) Theory. The following are the topics to be included: IPA;Phonetics and Phonology;Description and Classification of Speech Sounds;The production of speech;Gradation; General characteristics of English vowels; Vowels and consonants;Front vowels. Dear students The list with the groups for the 1st oral mid-term exam will be posted on the notice board at departamento next Wednesday May 2nd . You should write your names for the date that best suits you but please respect the top number of students for each group. Regards Ricardo
