As discussed in class last week, the following are the topics to be prepared for the written exam:
- IPA (speech sounds)/vowels,consonants,diphthongs,semivowels.
- General characteristics of consonants according to voicing,place and manner of articulation.
-Vowels: classification. Formal description of /i:/ /I/ /e/ ash, short o and long o.
- Phonetics (branches)/Phonology
-Allophones/phonemes/Complementary distribution/free variation
-Organs of speech (the speech mechanism)
-General differences between vowels and consonants
- Weak and strong forms
- Inflections
Won't be adding other vowels next week.That's it!

I have already answered it. I guess it was you who also asked the same question?
It's an active one: movement is involved because it can be lowered (for the production of nasal consonants) or raised for the production of the oral ones.
