No,this third set is by no means compulsory.
Actually, transcriptions are not a prerequisite for passing the course.
The idea behind this last set was to provide some extra practice before the mid-term exam

Hi susan! we have some doubts about the presentation:
How much time do we have for our oral presentation?
Do we have to create 4 activities per student? ( we're four students)or do the whole group has to create 4 activities?
Finally, do we have to mention how pronunciation is taught in corusebooks or just include it on the hand out?

1. About half an hour or 40 minutes. It´ll depend on how you distribute topics and time.
2. Four activities all in all.Remember there must be two contrasting Spanish-English allophones.
3.Yes, mention it in the handout and then on the day of the presentation you enlarge.

How do you count the mistakes in allophonic transcription? Is it compulsory to use all of them or it is just up to the speaker?
