Please find below the dates and topics for the 2^nd mid-term exam and make-up exams. Thanks.

2^nd written exam (theory and dictation): Wednesday June 17^th at 8 a.m.

2^nd oral exam. Monday June 22^nd at 3 p.m.

2^nd oral exam. Wednesday June 24^th at 8 a.m.

2^nd written make-up exam (theory and dictation): Monday June 29^th at 2 p.m.

2^nd oral make-up exam. Wednesday July 1^st at 10 a.m.

Topics for the written exam

Ø      Formal descriptions of long a, short and long u, schwa and long schwa.

Ø      General classification of diphthongs. Definitions of each term end examples.

Ø      Formal description of all English diphthongs.

Ø      Comparison between English and Spanish vocalic system (This topic will be presented next week)

Topics for the oral exam

These topics will be announced in due time when the list for registration is posted at Departamento notice board on Monday 15^th.
