NOTICING AND REFORMULATING YOUR PRONUNCIATION ASSIGNMENT

Hello sts,

Remember that before the end of the course u have to complete and hand in the "Noticing & reformulating your pronunciation" assignment.

The assignment features the steps u had to follow in order to record and send your sound files using the WASP software. You have to complete charts about both readings and answer some questions too.

Mid-term 2 and make-ups

Dear sts
I´m taking mid-term  2 (dictation) again on Tuesday 3rd at 10am. However, make-up theory and oral exams will be evaluated on Monday 2nd. Theory: from 2pm to 3pm. Oral make-up: from 3 to 3:30pm.

Moreover, from 3:30pm onwards, everybody will be able to practise dictation for theTuesday exam.
Dictation make -up will be on Tuesday 10th at 10 pm (Room MM1).

Mid-term No. 1

Dear sts Your mid-term written exam will be on May 15th as scheduled.It will consist of two parts: a) Transcription of a passage (between 80 and 90 words) with a topmark of 20 mistakes. b) Theory. The following are the topics to be included: IPA;Phonetics and Phonology;Description and Classification of Speech Sounds;The production of speech;Gradation; General characteristics of English vowels; Vowels and consonants;Front vowels.
