Concerning what we trancribed this morning, I'm not so sure that we can choose between the two possible allophones in final /t/ within the word TEXT /tekst/. If we consider the whole rule for aspiration (every point in the theory), "partial aspiration" is automatically suppressed by the "none aspiration" requierements (none aspiration after /s/ or before a fricative)
What do you think about it?

Your´re right. It was a mess with so many versions.
I discussed this point on Tuesday with the other group.Besides, an aspect to be taken into account in some cases-not this one in particular- is the Free variation v. complementary distribution factor.

Hello Susan, I have a question as regards the transcriptions. I had chosen "A Midsummer's Night Dream" and I transcribed part 1 that appears in the link that you've posted, but there's also a part 2 of the story...my question is, do I have to transcribe this one as well or just part 1?

Susan, If a choose Hamlet for the first set of transcriptions, do I have to transcribe part 1 AND 2 or just one?
The transcription stuff it's so messy!

I transcribed the "Julius Caesar" dialogue, which is only Part 1, as it has been posted. I hope it's all right, because it doesn't say that part 2 and 3 must be included.

PS Lady Lucretia: Julius Caesar does not state any part in particular, does it? So it means you should transcribe the whole of it.
